We are looking for Software Trainees
The Fastems Factory Automation System is the heart of production for our customers and thus it must have high availability and reliability. Our software teams consist of a bunch of talented, ambitious software engineers who work in the fields of software development and configurations. Whether you participate in delivery projects or towards R&D, you will contribute to software development or configuration related activities.
Working in our software teams, you will see tangible results from your work. You will have a great opportunity to work with colleagues that will shape the future of industry. Your results will help our customers take the productivity and competitiveness of their operations to the next level.
As a Software Trainee your versatile tasks would concentrate, for example, on the following areas: Development for Backend/Frontend, Device Interfaces, ICT and Configuration. To be able to run these tasks successfully, it requires certain experience and/or willingness to learn in depth from some of the following areas:

Development for Backend/Frontend and Device Interfaces: C# programming, databases and Angular or other modern web frameworks

ICT and Configuration: Industrial ICT, Visual Studio tools, know-how on PLC programming and Windows environments.
What we are looking for:

As we work in an international business environment, good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.

You must have the ability to act independently with a can-do attitude.

We are hoping that you have a few years of studies or other relevant experience behind you, but all great personalities are valued at Fastems, and all applicants are considered with great respect.

Your technical study background can be either from University or University of Applied Sciences.
We offer you full working hours for Summer 2026 and possible flexible working hours on your own wish during the academic year (preferably 2 days per week or more if available). At Fastems we offer you a competitive salary. We hope you to be engaged and possibly willing to stay with us also after summer and whenever possible we would love to offer our great trainees the possibility to do Master’s or Bachelor’s thesis with us as well.
