We are looking for a Mechanical Designer Trainee to join our engineering team in Tampere.

As a Mechanical Designer Trainee you will contribute to our development and delivery projects designed according to our customers’ needs and Fastems’ long term experience. This position will allow you to specialize in various areas, working on tangible solutions for industrial automation. 

In this position you can be in the beginning of your studies, maybe 2nd or 3rd year going on. Position requires good communication and teamwork skills, and some knowledge from studies. Fluent English and Finnish are needed. As a person you are self-driven, systematic and genuinely interested in technology. 

As part of our engineering team, you will gradually get involved in practical mechanical design work and learn how industrial products are designed with quality, safety and manufacturability in mind. Therefore, we value:

• Basic understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing technologies 

• Familiarity with CAD tools and technical drawings gained through studies or project work 

• Interest in developing safe, cost-effective and practical engineering solutions in an industrial environment
